Over the holidays I got to spend a few days with my wifes family at their old lake cabin at Pigeon Lake. It was great to get to know some of the family I had yet to meet and to relax a little in such a beautiful place.  The goal was to get away from work but as we explored the lake I just couldn’t help myself from taking the camera out for a few minutes.  These little hockey rinks on the lake just screamed “Canada” to me.

It has been a great year!  Wedding season has officially come to an end for me and it’s time to take a step away for a little break.  I couldn’t be more excited as my time off starts tomorrow when the wife and I fly out to San Francisco for the weekend to see our absolute favourite in concert!  

As I go away for a bit I leave you with a look back at what has been an amazing year.  Here are a couple of images from each of my 2011 weddings.  I have the best clients ever and I want to thank each of you for making me a part of your wedding days.  It was a pleasure and I can’t wait to work with you all in the future!  Thanks!

Poland + Croatia = Crazy Party! Nik and Natalia’s wedding was a fun filled day full of tradition.  It was pandemonium as the groom bargained for his bride amidst a live 5 piece band, a lot dancing, and a little drinking.  The ceremony at the Croatian Catholic Parrish was touching as the standing room only crowd witnessed not only a marriage but the baptism of Nik and Natalia’s son Anthony.  After we took the 14 member wedding party out for our photo shoot it was on to the Polish Hall for an epic party complete with fun games, a packed dance floor and maybe even a little more drinking.  Thanks Nik and Natalia for having me there to capture such a fantastic day!  Hope you enjoy…
